February 11: The American Piazza Experience
Even in Christ’s time, life centered around a temple courtyard or “piazza,” if you would. But what would our church’s piazza look like? What would be in it? Where would it be? Why would we need it? Perhaps it is the reason why some churches are not building walled structures but exploring experiential venues. While we could take time to explore the pros and cons of synagogue vs. street corner, it might be better to understand our role in each place.
This sermon series is based on the book "The Gospel According to Starbucks" by Leonard Sweet. Leonard Sweet will be the speaker at this year's Church Retreat.
