Community Ministries

We clearly believe building relationships with God and our community is an individual member responsibility, just like supporting the world church.  All of our regular services of worship and study are open to the public.  While each member is personally responsible, there are several on-going ministries by which our church family intentionally seeks to build relationships in our community.

•  Each Wednesday we operate Downtown Shepherd’s Hope Clinic to serve the working uninsured in our community.

•  Interfaith Hospitality Network is an organization we partner with to provide housing for up to 14 well-screened homeless families who come once or twice a quarter and stay as our guests in the church for one week.

•  WINGS (Women In Need of God and Safety) is a confidential resource for adult female survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

•  The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) was initiated by the Seventh-day Adventist church. The basis for its existence, its reason for being, is to follow Christ’s example by being a voice for, serving, and partnering with those in need.  ADRA seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries. The agency’s work seeks to improve the quality of life of those in need. ADRA invests in the potential of these individuals through community development initiatives targeting Food Security, Economic Development, Primary Health and Basic Education. ADRA’s emergency management initiatives provide aid to disaster survivors.

•  ACTS Disaster Response is a service of the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists that unites and trains adult and youth volunteers to become community resources.
